What the hell

My phone does not wan to connect it keeps saying the device is offline or the username and password are incorrect

Horrible

Ive had this camera set up for 3 days now and to sum it up... Horrible! I am running on my iPhone 5 and iPad 4. The app is horribly slow & sluggish. It does not remember any of the settings I save. And today it stopped allowing me to view on my phone in 1 screen. It splits it into 4 screens and its very small. Ill give it one more day, otherwise Im returning this camera.

Works ok for the price

I bought this from Walmart for $56 and I think the app is working fine also the quality is ok for the price I paid compare to $199 nest cameras. I am happy with the app.

Wont work

This used to work great, but no longer. Ive completely reinstalled, check set-up and it just crashes. This app is the worst Ive downloaded.

Bug fixed?

More like creating more bugs.. Broke remote settings on new update, push notifications never worked.. Im going with another vendor.. Wasted my money on useless product

App just got worse

PTZ still doesnt work properly. With this update, settings function does not work. Motion area feature is missing now too. Knew I shouldnt have updated app. Please fix or let me go back to previous version.

How can you get this wrong when your competitors get it right? Your support is atrocious and app is useless

Big problem!!!!

Worked well for one year, except for one camera burning out. Today we were actually getting the camera feed of other people! One was a small restaurant, another some kind of construction yard with a forklift, and another of some girls apartment with her walking around in a t-shirt!!

The WORST APP EVER

CALLED NightOwl on 8-29-15 to inform them that when I was using the NightOwl Pro app on my IPhone 6 to check on my property that I was being redirected to OTHER PEOPLES CAMERAS - MULTIPLE TIME AND MULTIPLE PLACES, I WAS told that this was a KNOWN PROBLEM, I DO NOT RECALL BEING INFORMED THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM NOT TO MENTION I PERSONALLY THINK THAT THIS IS A MAJOR I MEAN MAJOR INFRINGEMENT ON INVASION OF PRIVACY. SO BE WARNED THAT IF YOUR CAMERAS ARE LOCATED INSIDE OF YOUR HOME YOU MIGHT BE WATCHED.

DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM.

DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. Seriously? This is the best you can do? The app works alright SOMETIMES. But it ALWAYS takes FOREVER to open. I have tried in on my Iphone 5s and on my ipad AND my Iphone 6! I have fast reliable internet and even with that, the system takes FOREVER to launch correctly. (Thats if it even does) the app crashes half the time, and its really annoying to deal with this. I would advise to get better developers, or ill just get a better and more reliable system that actually works. UPDATE. I am now telling all friends and family looking into this system to look elsewhere. The costumer service is HORRIBLE. They NEVER answer calls, emails, etc. my system has been installed for a month at most, and cameras are already starting to break down, most look extremely blurry out of the box.

Can I give negative stars somehow?

They broke PTZ control back in September of 2014 and never fixed it on the app. Ive called about a dozen times but get the same regurgitated script when I call and have been promised a fix is in the works. I own several of their systems and cant control any PTZ camera with my iPhone. Trying to sell the Night Owl systems to purchase from another manufacturer. Thanks Night Owl. Update 08/04/15: Another update and PTZ is still not fixed since they broke it 09/2014. Only have 1 system left to sell. Thanks again Night Owl. Update 09/23/15: Cant even get rid of the last one. Just noticed that the settings option is also broken. Tried everything but it still says its offline. Remote viewing works but the PTZ is broken still. Thanks again Night Owl.

So far so good

This is my first day using it, but so far it is very good. I made a mistake by not entering my admin password before scanning the setup QR code, so it didnt work. But once I figured out my mistake I got it working. I also contacted technical support tonight and had to wait about 25 min in the on hold que, but once the call was answered the man helped me generate a new system password. Ive had my system for about 3 months now. I dont have high def cams so the quality is ok, but you get what you pay for. Overall I am satisfied thus far. If anything changes I will update my review.

OMG

I wish there was a way to have apple remove this app until its repaired. I wish I had read the reviews here before I purchased this for my mother. The system in general is good as far as recording but I picked this over the others because I was supposed to be able to view them remotely but the app is nothing but trouble. DONT BUY the "support" hasnt picked up after 2 hours.

Start it from the ground up with a new design more modern and better features. Half of the stuff doesnt work and the app is trash.

Complete waste of time...

I tried for nearly an hour following what seemed liked simple instructions to the “T” to NO resolve. The app kept giving me either a WiFi or Bluetooth error. My Wifi and bluetooth were working perfectly and triple checked all my settings and passcode… I finally gave up and returned the hardware to the store. Was so hoping for this to work, the camera was reasonable in price, but rendered useless by a worthless app! And they offer only email or YouTube tech support for setup issues. Phone support is strictly for their sales office or pro installation techs. I recommend you put your money towards a better system - preferably one not made in China.

Great for the price

Im tech savvy. Setup was not easy but was manageable. I have multiple wireless cams. Still working on multi-view. Once I figure it out will update review. I can watch 3 halls, front and back doors, stairwell, and all windows on bottom floor. As of today everything has been fine for 2 weeks.

NVR system with POE cams

Love this system. Plug in cat5 cables and boom. Power over Ethernet. "POE". Been 6 months one cam quit working. I got 2 systems to see on pro app. Works god. Takes a fee mins. But manageable... Would recommend over any-others from night owl

No stars if that was an option!

Weve had our camera for almost a year and it worked twice. Once after I installed it and then I had to call tech support and they went through a difficult manual setup and I had to use two different options; depending if I was at home or away... What a pain! Fast forward a few months and we got new phones... Never got the camera to work again. Do yourself a favor and buy a different product!!!

No Support!

I have been trying to get this night owl wifi camera to work on 4g with no success. Works fine on wifi but that doesnt help me when I want to check on things when Im away. Tried to contact support and all I got was music for over an hour. Not worth the trouble.
